  A huge thanks to the guys at Stratstone LR, Newport. It would appear, after having my turbo replaced at a local garage, the correct commissioning process wasn't followed subsequently giving me a reduced engine performance message and no power. At very short notice, they took in my poorly, 10yr old Freelander 2 and worked through the issues I was having and gave it a clean bill of health. A couple of advisories (Unconnected with original fault) but nothing to worry about at the moment. I'm a very happy chappy :-)

  The booking and subsequent work on my car went very well. The staff were very approachable and polite. My car was in for two days but it had to stay for three due to the timescale of work required for a full fix. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is due to the fact that they failed to phone me on the second day as was arranged. It was my phone call to them that initiated their response that the car was needed for another 24 hours. I was in a position to accept the extra time the car was held but some people would need more time to arrange alternative arrangements. Apart from that, I find everyone there very professional and I would be very happy to use them again.

  As someone previously employed here I have first hand knowledge of the shady and underhanded tactics this garage uses when dealing with customers. Completely professional until money has changed hands and then will do anything possible to cut corners, not spend any money on your vehicle and even go so far as to water down the "AdBlue" emissions reducing chemical which is why so many customers call so regularly about their warning lights coming on far in advance of when they should. Do not work with these people. They don't have your best interests at heart and will put absolutely no effort into maintaining a good relationship with you once they have your hard earned cash.
